What's the best way to get rid of mice in and around my house?

  • Recently, I've noticed a few mice in our garage and with in the last week I found 1 in my house. I freaked, we moved some traps from the garage inside and caught the mouse and I felt much better. Tonight I found another one. I'm out of peanut butter for a trap and want to know how to get rid of it tonight. Also what's the best way to get rid mice in general. I want to just get some OneBite but I'm afraid that they'll eat it and die in my house somewhere and that's just gross. So whats the best way to get rid of mice quick? I don't want to keep finding them in my house or garage. Also, I don't care if it's humane or not, I just want the nasty rodents gone fast!

    Candy and whatever food you have in the house will work on the traps. If you can find where they are getting into the garage and block it it that will keep them out.

I do not know if you like cats or not...but if they are around the intruders will more likely leave the premises...get young cats like two of them and yes you must feed them...their presence should be enough..some cats even fed, still like the chase them and at times will kill it.

Peppermint Oil ! Rodents hate it [drug stores sell it in a 2 pack for $2.99] pour it all around the garage especially where they run up against walls use it in the house to keep them out it works great in u-hauls,storage units and even deer camps!

Live trap, let them go in a field, then make sure to block off anyway they have of getting back in.

I hear ya! I hate having mice keep me up at night and scaring my kids that I don't care what happens to them, I just want them out. But, if you would like to try a more natural approach, I use a product called Fresh Cab. It comes in a yellow box, I buy it at Home of Economy or Menard's. It's all natural and is perfect for my household filled with hyper kids and animals. I believe that it works by the odor it gives off, which may I add is good! I get compliments all the time for having air fresheners! That's definitely a plus! Good Luck.
