When did sony go public?

Sony digital camcorder I recorded a basketball game and I want to mute the noise in the background when I go?

  • download it to a dvd, I do not have the option to edit the sound with my pmb launcher does anyone know of any other way to get rid of the background noise when downloading to a dvd? Someone wants a copy and my husband was being a little obnoxious during the game and I don't want anyone to hear the background noise.

  • Answer:

You can't selectively mute certain sounds. You either bring everything down, or leave it as is. A microphone doesn't distinguish "background" sound from other sound. It just knows "sound," period. Editing software can remove some sound, but that's best for constant, even noise such as a buzz or a hum. For spoken words, that doesn't work as well. What you can do is grab clips of sound from other parts of the video and simply replace the stuff you don't want to hear, if your "replacement" audio matches the video. That's called using "room tone." Again, that's done in editing software, and will take some effort, and I also don't know how MUCH you want to get rid of, but if you can do it, go for it.
