My skateboard deck has dents in it, is that normal?

Do I need to get a new deck for my skateboard?

  • I got my skateboard 2 years ago, and recently i got it some new reds bearings, and some autobahn wheels. they really make it go faster, but my friend says my deck doesnt have any grip, and it is really getting old. he also says my trucks need tightening, but thats really easy to do. i got it as a darkstar complete skateboard, and the deck is really getting old and bendy and even creaking a bit. but even though i got it 2 years ago, i never really used it that much until now. should i get a new deck?

Sounds like you left it open in the outdoors a few time. Tip- always keep your board indoors. Rain, cold and wind will destroy it. Honestly it's up tp you. I would just get some grip tape an tighten your trucks. The more you ride and break it in, the better it will get. I wouldn't get a new deck until it split in half, that's just how I am. I longboard though now, when I used to skate we would beat it til the end.
