What do you think about the University of Iowa?

University of Kansas or Kansas State?

  • Okay so right now I've already been accepted into Kansas State University, but my application for University of Kansas hasn't been accepted yet. I got a 24 on my ACT and have a 2.3 GPA. I've been involved in many activities and can get many letters of recommendation forwarded if need be. Based on this, do you think University of Kansas will accept me? I forgot to mention I live in Iowa. Also, If I do get into KU, should I choose it over KState? I'd love to know more about the locations and schools if you have any information as well. Thanks!

  • Answer:

The admissions for each school are virtually identical. If you were accepted by K-State you will probably be accepted by KU. Choose the school with the best program for your major. If they are equal, visit each school. They are less than 2 hours apart so you can easily visit both over along weekend. Where do you feel most comfortable? Do you prefer one campus over the other? As a K-State grad I have to put in a plug for the Wildcats. It's a beautiful campus and has a reputation for being very friendly. There is a lot of exciting stuff happening on campus right now, both academically and athletically. We have had record enrollment each year the past several years. Plus we have Aggieville. :) No matter where you choose, get involved! Join a club or campus organization. It's way to make new friends and discover new interests. I know at K-State there is something for everyone and I bet the same is true at KU. Good luck with your choice!
