What are the requirements to be on the drill team?

(Opinions) Colors Guard & Drill Team?!?

• Okay Ive put this question up before, but it gets like 1 unhelpful answer so im gonna keep reposting it until I get some helpful answers Im debating about whether to try out for Drill Team or Color Guard or both. The band doesnt play the music the drill team dances to. Usualy they dance & then its the band & color guard. I know they both cost money & I know that financial aid is available for Drill Team. Anyways heres whats up My school is small, soo they band is small, & that means a small drill team & they usualy except you if you have even just a slither of potential, but it was small because last year only band girls could tryout. This year anyone can tryout & that means more competition. But its small because bands small so my chances arnt THAT good, my arms are okay on strength, & I really dont know how to throw a spinning flag or riffel. Plus the teachers nice Drill team is suppost to be huge. & theyre losing 9 girls, plus the teams not even that good. I mean they never place. But the dances are always cool, and dance is somthing I always wanted to try. But I Have NO experience, but I can do a right split & my kicks are really high. But im not the typical girl to try out. I mean picture the girl that youd think would try out, im pretty much her opposite. Plus, Ive never really had to memorize a dance before or do any thing extra curricularey that didnt involve a saxophone, a tennis racket, a volleyball, or track shoes, I have no idea how to memorize a routine, we have to try out 1 for lyrical, one for pow, one for kickline & one for jazz, plus ballet positions, plus splits My parents said I can try out for both, but Color Guard pratice ends at 5 & Drill Team starts at 5 & they arnt at the high school. Ones at a dance studio & the other is at the high school. & On the tryout date of Color Guard is Drill Team practice at the same time. What should I do about that? Im confused, Should I do both? Or which one? Help??
