What is a good non-controversial topic for a senior research topic?

• I need to do a research topic answering a question (thesis). The rules are pretty lenient, so it can be about almost anything but there must be citations from books and articles. What is a topic that can be done that is non-controversial?

If this is an English paper it soooooo not about your topic. It is very, very, very much about how you write the paper. Spelling, grammar, punctuation, sentence structure and development of your ideas and how well you express yourself in text is what you should concentrate on. You should pick a topic that makes it easy to document your research because the internet as a research source can be pretty tricky. You also need to get some friends to read it for you who can make suggestions for improving it. Friends that know how to use a coma and a semicolon properly are who you want.
