How can I delete email contacts for good?

  • I can delete email contacts, but when I go to Compose and enter a letter (i.e. A) all contacts starting with an A, including those previously deleted (from months ago) come up. How do I delete those which come up in address?

  • Answer:

    1. Go to your contacts tab. 2. Look for the person who you want to delete. 3.Highlight their name and a new thing will pop up on the right, press delete. 4.On the left side of the screen there should be a hotbutton that says Deleted Contacts, open it. 5.Highlight name and go to delete permanetly.

Your "nickname" list or "autocomplete" list is NOT related to your contact list. The autocomplete list is simply a list of your most commonly used email addresses. It holds up to 1,000 entries. Simply highlight the name you want gone and delete it by right-clicking and scrolling to delete OR press the delete key.

right click the name of contact .. then delete ... then in your contact list , go to deleted contacts ... and you have to delete those too... it will ask you ... are you sure you want to delete them and click yes
