How Long Would It Take To Get A First Time Irish Passport?

  • Okay so I'm 17 and Irish and I want to get a passport. Problem is I need it for the 24th of May so yeah bit of a tight squeeze.... It's not for holidays or anything.... It's for I.D. I'm a Irish citizen and all that so theres no problems there but I'm wondering how long it'll take for me to get a passport. I unfortunately have no other form of I.D. and yeah this night is pretty darn important.... I haven't the forms submitted as of yet but it's more than less good to go. So how long will it take before I get the physical passport?? I know it says 15 days on the site but does anyone have experience of how long it took them?? Thanks in advance, any tips or advice on how to get one faster is appreciated...and yes I know I should have sorted this out weeks ago... >__<

    If you pay extra or go to the passport house you can get it next day via mail or same day in person.
