How do you break up with your girlfriend?

• My girlfriend says she needs a break how can I fix this? My girlfriend has been with me for about 4 months and we were perfect at first but then at about month 2 we started arguing all the time mostly because I was being a regular horses *** about anything I could find that was wrong with how she conducted herself. I was becoming my father and my worst nightmare always yelling over small things or not letting an argument die until we were both good and angry. I realize the situation I find myself in is all of my own creation, Im aware that I have issues more deeply seated than our arguments, and because of this I have agreed at her request to seek anger management. Over the last couple of days I have been apart from her and I have grown to see how important she really is to me. I have been making a concerted effort to let everything go and be calm and collected I realize she is entitled to let off some steam so I have been allowing her to be angry at me and not say anything. However after seeing a movie tonight I felt that I had to say something she was so distant and barely spoke to me all night. I stopped to get a coffee as a an excuse to sit and talk about it. I told her I can change I will fix it if only I could have one more chance to do so, I said if not break up with me I pretty much begged her to choose one of the two. I felt that I this was the only way too understand how she felt. She surprised me and opted for a break she said half of me wants to be with you and half doesn't she said I dont feel the way I did in the beginning. She said maybe if we are apart I will miss you. I took it with gritted teeth and an aching heart, when I dropped her at home I asked for one favour, a hug. Which she gave me it was I think a real shared hug not a pity one and then when I looked in her eyes I could see her begging me not to cry perhaps even surprised I was crying, I knew then she cares how I feel and she just needs to feel the same thing again, she needs a reason to care. I figure I will see her for sure at least once even if she means to end it. My question is how do I pull off a hail mary and allow her to realize what a good guy I can be? I sent her some very beautiful messages after I got home ( I cried all the way home listening to love songs) about how strongly I loved her and she told me that no one had ever said anything like that to her before. I talked to her on the phone after and I know she wants to love me again. I need advice on how to demonstrate that I am different, that I've had an epiphany so to speak. Im a romantic so anything that involves me speaking from the heart Is great!
