How to really know if a girl likes you?

• Ok, so basically I'm 20 and I never know if a girl likes me or not, everyone else seems to know when someone likes them and it all seems to work out for them but not for me, I always get it wrong, or I get tricked into thinking that a girl is interested because some girls like to build your hopes up then hurt your feelings for no reason. I always end up ignoring these girls completely when they do that, but then I am quite a paranoid person too so that doesn't help me in the slightest either. I don't know how to talk to girls either, I'm shy and anxious all the time and there's always pressure building up when I want to do something that I've never achieved before lol, I'm not popular either, most people tend to ignore me yet are curious about me but never actually start any conversation.   One point that might help for a start is that girls don't tend to 'like' building your hopes up then hurting your feelings, there is usually a reason behind it whether you know it or not. From what you're saying, and please don't take offence, but it seems like you don't have much experience. I can't say I know how you feel with your confidence problems, but I can imagine what it might be like for you, maybe you could see if there's someone you could go on a night out with, have a few drinks to build up your confidence and just chat with girls, offer to buy them a drink? If not, maybe join an online dating website just to chat to people and see what conversations flow and what you say etc. Hope this helps and I really wish you luck!
