How is money raised in political campaigns?

Will the money I have raised make a difference?

  • I did a five-mile run this afternoon to raise money for a breast-cancer charity. it wasn't a big 'race for life' type thing, just something I did on my own and I raised £164.80p but I don't know if that will actually have much impact, actually help them find out more about ways to prevent breast cancer. My Mama died from breast cancer and I want to prevent other people from having to loose a relative to breast cancer but I don't know how else to raise money. I cycled 24 miles last year and raised £212.36p and I have also done various sponsored silences and other runs, altogether raising £226.30p. So in total I have raised: £603.46p Will that really help? Will it actually make a difference?

It could probably cover the cost of a few mammograms. I would say that makes a difference.

Of course it makes A difference. There's no way you can raise enough to completely eliminate breast cancer. But researchers and clinics need money, so whatever you give them helps them.

It makes infinitely more of a difference than nothing at all, doesn't it?
