Which online bank is better ING or ALLY bank?

Would you suggest ING bank for online banking?

How on earth do you make deposits if you aren't simply transferring money? As in, can you deposit cash? I need a bank outside of my state...which leaves me with online options because I'm not driving over an over an hour to get out of state.

Oh god no. I wouldn't even use a bank - try a credit union if at all possible.
