Can somebody recommend a good gaming pc?

Recommend me a gaming PC?

  • I'm looking to buy a gaming PC, and I know next to nothing about computers so building one isn't an option. I would ideally like to spend $1,000 or less. I don't know exactly how powerful of a system I need, but some of the games I want to play are Starcraft II, Dota II, Diablo III, and Guild Wars 2. I know most of these games aren't out yet, so I can probably wait a couple months before I actually buy a gaming PC. I don't necessarily need all of these games to be maxed out but I want them all to run smoothly while having good enough graphics to the point where I don't strain my eyes like I did with my older computers since I had to use the lowest settings at all times. So far, I'm looking at the Alienware X51, and some machines on Cyber power PC but I have no idea which one would be best for me. Any recommendations?

    I would strongly advise not buying an Alienware since you simply don't get much bang for your buck. Cyberpower? Hmm maybe but I would go with ibuypower instead Truth is, your best option is to build your own with parts Core i5 2400/2500K 4-8 GB 1600 mhz RAM AMD Radeon 7850 etc That would easily max any of those out

Here below is the page where you can find several computers great for games listed. I would recommend AMD FX 6100 based machine - but with upgraded RAM to 8GB and better video card, though 7750 is fine too. It is under $1000 shipped free, quite good choice.

With a thousand dollars, you could buy a good gaming computer which should run your games at medium detail setting. Highly recommend the Alienware X51.
