Why is heat stroke more dangerous than heat exhaustion?

Do I have heat exhaustion/heat stroke?

  • Yesterday I played 18 holes of golf and it was very hot outside, I was really tired afterward, more than normal. Today I feel terrible, I am very hot, but with no fever, have fatigue, shortness of breath, rapid heart beat, and upper respiratory issues(stuffy nose, coughing, ect.) do I have heat exhaustion or heat stroke?

  • Answer:

First of all you need to call your Dr. They are the best at telling you what to do. Second NEVER drink soda because if you are dehydrated it will only make it worse. WATER....cool water. No caffeine either. You can eat salty foods to help there but sugary things are also not so great! If you can eat something, carbohydrates are the best source of energy for your body!!

If you have cramps it's heat stroke, if you don't it is just exaustion. Either way drink soda or Orange Juice it'll help you feel better and more energized. If ya don't put sugars in your body their is a high chance that you'll faint.
