Why is Tan Skin seen as "Better Looking" then Natural Pale skin?
-
Why does the majority believe that Tan Skin is "Better Looking" then Pale Skin?
-
Answer:
this is an attitude that is changing. it certainly has something to do with having leisure time, and/or working outdoors, but with concerns about skin cancer, pale is fashionable now. in places like arizona i see women who have spent way too much time in the sun, and it's not flattering by the time you're 50. the last time i had a really bad sunburn my doctor told me she'd kill me if i ever did it again. i *start* at spf 30. my ancestors came from northwestern europe. i refuse to apologize for being white.

Here, have a little look: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/health/healthnews/6590353/Fruit-and-vegetables-improve-complexion-more-than-tan.html A light yellowy glow and rosy skin are generally seen as attractive because they're earmarks of health. As to why some people think orange is a good look, who knows? I blame Charlie and the Chocolate Factory myself...

Not true at all. In many parts of Asia it's considered a very good thing to be pale. From what I've heard it's like this because in western countries, being tan used to mean that you had the time to go to beaches and lay under the sun. In Asia, being pale used to mean that you didn't have to go outside and work in the fields under the baking sun. Funny how different cultures can be.

tan skin is gross, a little color is okay-but unless you live in a cave (you wouldn't be tan anyways cause caves have no windows) tanning causes premature aging, skin cancer, wrinkling, etc. I have stayed out of the sun & used sunblock since I was 15 and that's why I never age

Actually even chinazis in the old posts in asian forums, one has acknowledged that the northern peasant population sees tan skin as manlier, since they do the farm or outdoor labor work. It's true, idiot. Tan skin is manlier, at least, culture shows it has slight degrees of changing. You're drawing on old superstitions of ancient cultures where only the emperor/empress class are seen as the highest status. There could be other factors that determine that Asians "prefer" white partners. Socioeconomic status for one, and not the skin. There are some posts from both girls and guys that have expressed that they like tan skin on guys. The majority will be out in the sun anyway.

I personally think in the middle is better looking on guys. Like, if you're too tan, then ew, but if you're too pale, you look like a ghost.

healthier glow? doesnt look sick. but if you go to asia, the majority will vote for whiter paler skin lmao.
