How do I plant blue anemone bulbs?

How many bulbs can I plant in 6 inch(15cm) pot? ?

  • The bulbs are really small like walnut. I have 15 bulbs and Pot that is 6inch deep and 6 inch wide at the top. I heard bulbs produces a new bulb(?) every year so I was wondering what's the maximum number of bulbs I can plant in the pot as I maynot repot them every year maybe once in 2-3 years.

    What size plant results? You have to consider what comes up as well as bulb size. The bulbs shouldn' touch, but if the plants are small, they may nearly touch. Growing in containers.....you aren't going to get new bulb production, there isn't enough room or nutrients. I seriously doubt you'll get more than one year display with intense planting. The bulbs won't be able to regenerate in this stressful situation.

A 6" pot is very small. You can plant one bulb. Read the package label for spacing instructions. I have used a galvanized wash tub for bulbs. I did have to drill many holes in the bottom for drainage.
