How much does a goat cost?
-
we want a goat to help us with our mowing the lawn. we plan on getting two (if we even do it), we have a 3 acre yard for them to walk around. Anyway, what type of goat should we get, and how should we keep them in our yard?

Answer:
Pygmies are good, as they stay small, and they are colorful. I paid $50 for a pair of pygmy does, $100 for a pair of young pygmies, and $30 for a pygmy / Nigerian dwarf cross. Fencing would be the best way to keep them in. However, the fencing must be good enough to prevent climbing and have small enough mesh to prevent them from getting their heads stuck in the fence.
