What to wear for nursing school interview?
-
I have an interview for nursing school on thursday and when talking to some nurses i work with about it, they said dress proffesional and conservative...like slacks and stuff like that... My problem? All of my professional and somewhat conservative clothes don't really fit me anymore( they are either to big or shrunk in the wash)... I am going to the mall today and thinking about just getting a new outfit... I would really like a dress and some flats but idk... BTW: I am 20 yrs old, 5'4'' and 100 lbs and this is for nursing school

Answer:
This not the occasion to be trendy and cute so spring dresses, jeggings, leggings, jeans or anything "skinny" will not be appropriate. You need to wear something simple and classic with no distractions. Dressy long slacks are appropriate along with a nice top/blouse. Jacket is optional. High heels need to be worn but nothing trendy like sandals, leopard print, platforms or wedges. Just plain simple closed toed pumps with at least a 3 inch heel and nylons. Flats are too cas. Also, be sure your nails are super short and without polish.

Perhaps wear something feminine and sweet, like a formal, plain skirt (not too short, three inches above the knee max, perhaps in black or grey) and a pale dress shirt (pale blue/pink etcetera). You could always wear something floral, since flowers usually give a nice impression of soft femininity. If I were having an interview, I would wear a slightly above knee-length dark grey tulip skirt which reaches the waist, a lilac dress shirt tucked into the skirt and held together with a simple black belt, a pair of pumps (with or without plain black tights, depending on the weather) and perhaps, if you feel a little washed out in the ensemble, use bright, small jewelry for a splash of colour. Wear a black cardigan to keep it a little more casual. It doesn't sound very stylish, but it's practical and sleek, and will probably leave a good, professional impression. :)
something sensible, lke jeabs or leggins with a jumper and trainers hope i helped!
