How do I plan for a huge expensive trip?

Trip to Melbourne. How should we plan?

• Hi there, I am from Brisbane. I will have one month holiday in my semester break. Our friends and I are going to have a trip to Melbourne. But, we have no idea on how to plan it since we have not asked any opinion from travel agents. Please suggest some ideas for us :) Here is some detail for the trip: Time: The end of June Length: 6 days (Arrival at 3pm at first day, leaving at 5pm in the sixth day of the trip People: four people (3 male, 1 female) Budget: around1000 AUSD each person (We have booked the flight tickets, so it is excepted). Plan: must do skiing Last question: Do we need bring skiing gear? We don't have any related equipment to do skiing since Brisbane is not that cold. Can we borrow it from the skiing place?   even though you are not native English speakers, you can read it - so look up the Victorian ski fields and find out about the facilities and what you can hire. They are all at least four hours from Melbourne. then you can find out if you have enough money.
