Seventeen Magazine - Work Out Plan?

Seventeen magazine readers (or anyone with experience) would this routine help me lose weight?

  • I'm 19 and 142 and I am fed up of being over weight. I started working out recently but found out I wasn't going anywhere because of the food I was eating so now I've come up with a new plan and I wanna make sure it will work. Workout schedule consists of me jogging for at least 25 minutes then doing some minor weight lifting or a Seventeen Magazine workout plan sheet (those who don't read the magazine. It's pretty much a series of different exercises girls can do to get in shape. In other words it's like a workout circuit) anyway I wanna know if this will help me lose weight. Now for the food I have decided to cut out eating oily fried foods, sweets such as cookies and cake etc. And eating less rice. So the most rice I would be eating is around 3 table spoons. Since I'm in school my eating schedule would be cereal like Life, Shreddies, Quaker corn squares or I'll make oatmeal (not the packet one) For lunch I used to take an orange and banana but found that it wasn't enough energy for me to run so I decided to take mac n cheese, ramen noodles, or chick peas (this is all I got so far) Dinner is fine on weekdays it's just weekends that screws me over cuz it's so much. It's not like I'm eating a lot of meat or rice. But I know I gotta cut back on the portions. Now for snacks that only happens after school before I go running. I usually eat some type of fruit and drink water, that's it. And I try not to eat after 8 which sometimes doesn't happen cuz I usually end up coming home late on weekdays. So will this help me lose weight? Feel free to add or take away some food choices or exercise. Please and thanks.

  • Answer:

For dinner you should try having some meat a starch and vegetables. And for lunch have an apple. apples are so healthy for you are they are extremely filling and much better for you then mac and cheese. If the apple doesn't fill you up them you can have an extra side. and I have to congratulate you for taking the initiative of losing weight on your own. Good luck!
