Pros & cons of doing online/home schooling?

  • I'm thinking of doing home schooling or full time online schooling next year & possibly my senior year (I'm about to be a junior). I think it would just be better for me, I could work while I'm a student, I could help my mom out, just a lot of benefits to me. what are some pros and cons? Any home schoolers/online schoolers that can give me some insight on your day to day routine and how everything is for you?

    im 13 and currently i am doing online school pros you can work from home tends to be a shorter day you tend to learn more in a shorter amount of time there are less distraction from noisy or disruptive classmates cons you have to take learning into your own hand because you dont have a teacher looking over your shoulder if you dont get something you have to say other wise you wont learn at my school i do have other people in my class that i can talk to and interact with its not the same as talking to someone face to face my normal day is 8:50 till 9:50 first lesson 9:50 till 9:55 break 9:55 till 10:55 second lesson 10:55 till 11:30 lunch/break 11:30 till 12;30 3rd lesson then on some days i will have an hour break from 12:30 till 1:30 the at 1 :30 till 2:30 i will have another lesson but that only happens twice a week

I just started homeschooling this year, I am a sophomore too, and there are a lot of good and bad things about homeschooling. Good: you get too sleep in, pick your classes, learn how you want, get a good job, help out more, be more organized, the list goes on. Bad: while homeschooling I also moved and lost contact with friends ( I have a facebook but they don't talk), might be hard to stay focused and get everything handed in on time, hard to teach yourself, and my program is more challenging than public and even some private high schools. Homeschooling and I have a love/hate relationship.
