What statistical analysis should I use?

What kind of statistical analysis can I use for a genetics lab?

  • So far I have used Chi-Squared, but I need at least 2 different statistical tests. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance to those that answer. :)

    Which statistical test to use should be decided BEFORE an experiment is performed and the appropriate test depends on how your experiment is designed because each test assumes that the experiment had been set-up in one particular way or another. Picking statistical tests AFTER an experiment has been performed is a common mistake among biologists because most biologists suck at math. What is the research question that you're trying to answer? Without that, it is impossible to determine which tests are best for your particular experiment.
