    They're more nationalistic and patriotic than us Americans. If the rich in America really loves America, they would contribute more, but they're selfish and greedy, and don't think of the nation's well-being as a whole, which in the long run will hurt them (kinda like karma, what goes around comes around), because what good is a country if most of the people are living in poverty. In other words, what good is it if you're wearing new expensive clothes and driving expensive cars, when you come outside of your home, everything surrounding you is sh-t, broken, full of potholes, dirty, polluted, etc.

If he thinks taxing the wealthy at that level will bring economic stability, he is sadly mistaken. Those that would actually pay a 75% tax won't be wealthy for long. American and French people are among the most different in the developed world, so that much of it is just culture but it's also because when they say the rich they don't mean the upper class they mean the 0.5% richest.

Its because their are more people getting government handouts than those that are not, by a 4:1 margin. The people are scared to take chances. Its a way of life over there. Paris may be a great place to visit ,but I wouldn't want to live there.
