How to get thicker hair?

How to get thicker and stronger hair without hair care products?

  • I used to have thicker hair before when I was younger, but when I started sixth grade I started losing hair and my hair growth decreased. I need something to help my hair growth increase without using any medicated or any other kinds of hair care products.

  • Answer:

    1. Drink LOTS of water and eat lots of proteins, vegetables, and fruits. (This is also good for your skin too!) 2. Get trims to cut off dead ends every 6 months or so, just for good measure. The more dead ends you have, the slower your hair grows. 3. When straightening or curling, use a heat protector spray. Yes, it's a product but it will work wonders for you. 4. Only wash your hair every other day. It seems gross but washing your hair every single day dries it out, fades it, breaks it, and splits your ends. Still wash your body though ;) 5. Take vitamins! I wanted longer hair and did all these things, but I'm an impatient person and wanted the process to go along faster. Anyway, I ran to the drug store and picked up some vitamins specifically for hair. They're easy to find. They're in a green bottle labeled "hair, skin, and nails". You can usually find them around the B-12 and Fish Oil vitamins. 6. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOOOTTTTT, ever, under any circumstances, dye your hair yourself. I can't even explain to you how awful bottle jobs are for your hair. Having it done professionally still isn't good for it, but if you feel like you HAVE to die your hair, they know what steps to take to protect it from the harmful chemicals. Hope this helped :)

I've been using vitamins because I had hair loss from stress, and i hadn't gotten my hair cut in 7 months. I have now been taking 1 Biotin of 5000 mcg (natures bounty brand), 2 folic acid pills 400mcg (nature made brand), and 2 hair skin, and nails pills (twinlab), for 2 months and my hair has grown an inch and 1/2. I've also noticed that my hair is a bit thicker and stronger. No product out there is going to make your hair grow stronger or faster. You just need to take care of yourself on the inside to see results. I gaurantee this will work. You dont have to use the brands i use; and you can get these from any store such as grocery stores with pharmacies, rite aid, gnc, etc. Please don't spend hundreds of dollars on products that wont work. ive seen so many people do this and its horrible.

There are natural hair care products you can use. A combination of lavender oil, eucalyptus oil and carrot seed oil just thinly massaged onto the scalp after a shampoo while the hair is still damp can repair damaged hair and stimulate the follicles to grow new hair. It's also about what you eat, there are certain foods that will effect your whole body, especially your hair and skin. Carrots are one, garlic is another and eating a clove a day does wonders for the whole body *onions have a similar effect*, diluted lemon juice will flush toxins. A couple of other 'health foods' to consider are whey protein and spirulina which both have amazing effects on overall health including the appearance of hair, you just mix them into a drink once a day. They don't have the nicest taste but that's often the way with health foods. Also drink lots of water, more than half the human body is comprised of water so I doubt it's any surprise to hear how beneficial it is. ------------ Only wash your hair every other day. When you brush your hair hold your head upside-down as this will cause the blood to flow to the head and stimulate the follicles. Stay away from styling products like hairsprays, gels, waxes etc. which will dry out the natural oils of the hair and hinder growth.

Massage your hair and scalp with warm coconut oil about 2 times in a week. Eat healthy diet consisting of fiber and calcium. Sleep for 8 hours, sleep deprivation and stress are often associated with hair loss. Washing your hair everyday can make it weak and dull, shampooing your hair twice a weak is sufficient .

Don't dye it, don't use sulfate shampoo, skip shampooing sometimes, don't brush it when wet, don't damage it in any way, wear your hair down a lot (ponytails and such pull and tug at roots and pull hair out), shower every other day, and eat healthy fats. Sorry, that's all I got.
