How can I downgrade my iOS from 4.2 to 4.01?

How can I downgrade my iOS device from 5.1 to 5.0.1 without SHSH Blobs?

  • I have bought a new iPhone 4 just recently and been bothered of the battery life. 1 full charge is only equivalent to 24hrs 47mins via BatteryDoctor with moderate usage (non-stop texting but minimum use of applications). I searched on the web about these battery issues and found out that the iOS 5.1 causes the battery drains. So I decided to downgrade to 5.0.1, knowing that it's more better when it comes to battery consumption. Watched videos on Youtube on how to downgrade, and I somehow get the idea of the procedure. My problem is that my phone is a newly bought iPhone 4, meaning I don't have the SHSH blobs (or so if it's called that) saved on my phone because it's pre-loaded with iOS 5.1 when I purchased it. My questions are: 1. Can I download any usable blobs from the net that I can use for the downgrade process? 2. Or should I ignore this and continue downgrading my iOS (with iFaith, firmwareumbrella, etc.) because it'll still work? 3. Any alternative procedures? I really need your help, and also because this is my 1st time doing this AND my 1st time of owning an iPhone. Thank you very much in advance!
