What are jobs in the marines?

What jobs in Marines do you have to have a flexible body to do?

  • I want to join the Marines but I am not very flexible. I cannot even touch my toes, or do the splits. I have tight hips, tight calves and hamstrings. Will this be an issue? And what jobs in the Marines are important for a flexible body?

  • Answer:

You do not need to be flexible to be a Marine. You will stretch but flexibility is not near the importance of physical fitness.

Don't worry about it, they'll get you in shape in basic training. You'll stretch everyday. I've never been able to touch my toes or do the splits. Partially because of my manhood, and because I'm built differently. Some people can't touch their toes because their legs are longer, or because their torso is bigger. So don't worry about it. All you do need to worry about is the mental challenge.
