How to use an energy pokemon card pokemon card game?

I know how to play the card game but well you see i just got these new pokemon cards yesterday and it gave me these energy cards but it doesn't say how to use them i got like 6 of em,grass and physic types so if anyone knows how to use energy cards please tell me!!!!!!!!

you attach one per turn to one pokemon you control and they help you to attack.

u look at it's moves and to the left of it there are symbles.That symble is the same as the symble on your energy card.
