What is the best program to use for recording games off pc full screen?

i want to record games that i play etc but my only problem is finding a decent game recording program to use. People have gave me the choice of something called "Fraps" Which i used .. but it records your videos quite small and im looking for something that can record the whole screen etc? (: I was wondering if anyone knew where i could find a program that could do that and record high quality gaming (: i don't mind if it needs to be paid for or if its free as long as it does the job xD And thanks (:
