Can a father win a child custody case?

  • Can a father win a child custody case if there is a case of domestic violence . BUT the mother has paranoid schizophrenia and abuses drugs. She has no car or job. She is delusional. she has been hospitalized twice in the last ten years and has failed two drug tests to get a job. When you try to restrain a crazy person fron leaving in a fit of rage and she gets bruised but so do you. why do the cops beleive her all the time. i have stopped her from swallowing pills twice to kil herself. and in her journal and medical records it says she has had suicidal thoughts many times.

    YES!!!! The father should have custody that does not sound like a safe environment for a child to be raised in. But that does not mean that the mother can never see her child because she's crazy so agree on sometimes where they could meet each other but the father should have custody.

YES!!! Use the family court system. Fight for your child! Explain the circumstances to anyone who will listen. If you have a domestic case, ask the courts if you can take anger management classes or parenting classes. It might not seem fair but you will have to prove yourself. Hire an attorney if you can afford one, but if not, keep fighting. Write everything down, document any and all incidents - big or small. It might take time but don't give up. Your child needs you. I read recently that statistics show when a father seeks sold custody (mother having visitation rights however) he is more likely to be granted it than the mother is. Surprised me but that's what it said.

You should be able to win that no problem. Can you prove it you should ask yourself, most judges won't listen to word of mouth, well, unless you give them enough money. Baboom!
