How to start a local LGBT youth group?

• I want to start a local youth group where LGBT and straight people can meet up and hang out. I've tried to look for some information on how to start it and what's required on the internet but have gotten no where. Does anyone have any information/experience that they can share or any links to some useful websites? Thanks in advance!! :)

  You should contact your council, it's likely that they already have some support groups in place , however if you wish to go ahead you have a massive amount of work. You will have to register the group, so you will need a strategy and well defined plan, the plan should cover the basics such as venue, purpose, funding, you will need an authorised qualified adult to lead the group, a thorough Child Protection policy...... Lots to do, but if after considering this small fraction of what is ahead, go for it you can get government funding.
