Apple usually Releases it's major products during the holiday season every year, but there is no guarantee that it will be the next iPhone this year. BTW, most if not all the news about the iPhone 5 right now are just rumors and wishful thinking, so don't get your hopes up about any new features mentioned.

"When iPhone 4s came out they said iPhone 5 coming out in May" Who said that? No iPhone has come out in May. The earliest was June like it did on & off from 2007 to 2010. In 2011 it came out in October & that is when the 6th gen iPhone (not going to be called the iPhone 5 for obvious reasons) is expected to come out. Anything talked about it currently is simply speculation. They said the same things about what we now know as the iPhone 4S but as you can see they did not come out to be.
