Can i study law in one country but practice in another?

i wish to study law in the us. i am an indian student. i dont particularly want to practice in the us. if i want to come back to india will it be possible to give the legal exam and practice here? also how long will it take to give the legal exams in us, uk and inida?
Answer:

Laws very greatly from country to country. A person educated in Indian law would have little to no chance of passing a bar exam in the US without extensive further study. The same applies in reverse.

No.... Each nation has it's own laws. In the US within this nation there are different laws for each state, one bar for Virginia, another for California and one for each state.
