What is the best Solar Screen for windows?

My Windows Vista Laptop wont take me to the log in screen. Please help. 5 points best answer?

  • My Windows Vista wont take me to the log in menu :( I turn on my HP laptop, it takes me to this black menu asking me to press the F10 based menu etc. Then it loads on the the microsoft loading screen, then normally it would take me to the log in menu were i would enter my password and log in to my user account but instead the screen just turns black and stays black....please help me..5 points for the best answer.     Could simply be a virus. Or it may be a faulty hard drive. You can run the self hdd diagnosis by pressing F10 at startup. Select the Diagnostic tab and run the hard drive test (select the long if there's an option). The test can take over an hour to complete. If it passes, it most likely is a virus. You can reformat the system to factory defaults (all your personal files will be permanently erased) by pressing F11 on startup. Follow the onscreen prompts.
