Should I buy a KA-BAR knife?

Becker bk2 or Kabar USMC fighting knife?

• Im torn between the Becker bk2 and the kabar USMC fighting knife. Has anyone had any problems with these knives and which one would you recommend as a good all rounder camping knife? I need a strong fixed blade knife thats not going to break with use. Also how are the sheaths for each knife? Can anyone recommend a better camping/Survival knife than the two i have listed for under $100? Thanks!

  Well if you are going to be using it outdoors, you should probably get a non wood handled so it will be more weather resistant. I would get the USMC because it has a 7" inch blade while the BK2's blade is only 5.25" which is the least amount of blade i usually want on a fixed blade knife. There are many other great knifes similar to the ones you have listed too. Check out SOG's Seal and GOV TAC and Cold Steel's fixed blades (their SRK Bowies are very worth checking out) . By the way i have the Leather sheathed USMC and my uncle has the BK2 they both have great sheaths. Here is the almighty Cold Steel SRK.
