KickassTorrent help. seed and leech what does it mean?

i have never used torrent before. but I'm trying to get big bang theory from kickass torrent. and was wondering what "Seed" and "Leech" meant if for example the seed is 142 and the leech is 27. what does it mean??? please help me!

Thinks of it like this... The Seeds make your download go faster.... The Leech makes your downloads go slower... Seeds are the good guys and leech are the bad guys.... So if you see the seed is 142 and the leech is 27 then it should good to go... But if you see 10 seeds and 200 leech then dont download it....

seeders are people that have finished the download at 100% and leachers are people that are downloading the file and sharing a small part at the same time. the more seeders the better.
