How easily can one get an on-campus job?

My mum keeps pestering about getting a job, but i just cant get one!?

• Im 17 now and when i finished high school i did set my sights on getting a job and i tried a lot at the start, i handed out my CV's everywhere. However i hardly ever got any replies, and when i did, they were only rejection. Except from one time when i had to be 18 to get the job but i was too young :( Anyway, job hunting has just sucked the determination out of me to try and get one because they are so darn difficult to get. I did briefly get a job for a 2 week temporary period, but that passed. Anyway whenever we have an argument she always has a go at me for not having a job, but its because its too difficult to get one of your own back as everyone i know have only get their jobs because they know someone who works there, i am waiting for someplace at my sisters work to open up so i can try and get a job there because she would help me. So what can i say to her because she always brings it up!
