What are the chances of a 19 year old having a heart attack?

Can Pulmonary Hypertension cause a heart attack in a 19 year old girl? URGENT!! DR'S PLEASE!!?

  • I'm 19 and was diagnosed with Pulmonary Hypertension in Sept 2011. I have many sections of blood clots in each lung and am on Warfarin. I was going to have a heart attack in the hospital but I got on Heparin in time. I have been nervous lately that I might be at risk for a heart attack. I am just now introducing green vitamin K veggies into my diet plan again because I wasn't gettting enough nutrients when I completely cut them out while startin coumadin. I know for the time being it will change my INR but will it change so drastically I could have a heart attack? I have been having a squeezing pain on the left side of my chest when I lay down and rest but it only does it then and comes back and forth throughout the day. My legs hurt but my friends and I were dancing yesterday ( They kind of hurt before yesterday too) And my arms just feel tired. I am going to call my dr. tomorrow to talk about these signs but is it unlikely for someone with pulmonary hypertension to have a heart attack? Especially someone who is so young like me? Please let me know, I am just not sure what to do. My dad said to see if I feel comfortable till morning and if it comes back we are going straight to the emergency room. Please let me know any information you have.

    To be honest you have too many things going on to safely say you'll be ok and this is one of those situations where I come down on the side of caution and suggest if pain persists then go to the emergency room.
