How would I respond to this job interview question?

How would you respond to this job interview question: What would you do differently than other teachers?

  • I was asked this at a job interview at a daycare center/preschool for a 1 year old lead teacher position and wasn't sure how I should have responded. Also what are some other possible questions I may get asked at an interview at a daycare center or preschool for an infant/toddler teacher position and how should I respond to those questions?

  • Answer:

Someone answered your other question adequately about what you may be asked. Don't get hung up on one question because, as someone who has worked in Human Resources and as a former preschool teacher, at the end of the day it's not 1 particular question that will sink you. Answer honestly. They want to hear from you about you. Maybe they don't want the standard answer most people may give. In reality, that's a trick question because there's no way for you to compare yourself to other teachers if you don't know any and/or have little to no experience.
