How hard is homeschooling?

Has anyone taken aBeka Homeschooling?

• I am going to be a Junior in 5 days, and have been considering switching over to homeschooling. I think I would like to go with the aBeka Homeschooling program, because my school uses there books as a curriculum guideline, I've heard lots of good things about it, and a girl I know just finished her Junior year using the aBeka Homeschooling Program. Can anyone tell me how a typical day would go? Like how long it takes to complete the work, a good way to manage my time, and how the teaching actually works? I am watching a DVD aBeka sent me, and it has a teacher teaching a real class, but addressing "me"(the camera in the room) as well...is this how all the lessons will be taught? An aBeka representative said I could complete my Junior year by christmas and my Senior year by summer 2013...is this realistic if I work hard? How much extra time would it consume? Any aBeka Homeschooling info is appreciated!

  I home school 3 of my kids with the ABeka program. I looked into many of the different curriculum's available for homeschooling and this, in my opinion is the most well rounded, easy to understand, and easiest to incorporate extra supplements that your kids are interested into. My kids are in different grade levels and so far juggling three grades has been a breeze using ABeka. Plus ABeka tends to be more advanced for the grade level than where the public school kids are. At the pace my kids are going, they will be graduated by age 15 and able to start taking classes at the junior collage to get ready for university.
