Converting Book Text/Image into Microsoft Word/Similar text?

Hi, long story short, I need to take the words from a book and convert it to a digital document of some sorts. I have a scanner as well. I just need to get the text to digital form, like to microsoft word or something similar. Thanks!

Answer:
Most scanners come with an OCR application. Use that. If necessary, search for an OCR program on the web - I believe there are some free ones that work quite well.
