How can I find a new circle of friends and what should I do about my old one?

  • I'm a 16 year old dude in grade 11. I've been hanging out with the same people for almost 3 years, but the time has seemingly come. I've always been the bottomer in my circle of friends. I'm also convinced they just don't like me anymore and I don't feel like hanging around them because all they do nowadays is insult, humiliate, and troll me. So yea, things have changed. Its tough because some part of me still likes them for some reason. I have other friends. One other friend with whom I am quite close and share many interests with. I could easily start hanging out with him instead and I'm sure he has his own circle of friends he hangs out with. So I'm almost sure that I could just revert to hanging out with him but how can I make that transition? I imagine it will be tough. I sort of feel like one of those girlfriends who miss their abusive boyfriends or something. Any advice? Also, there are two specific friends who I still like a lot in that circle. The three of us have been friends for many years. I don't want to lose their friendship but I don't know if they will want to leave the circle. In fact I'm sure one of them won't and I'm not so sure about the other. How can I continually manage a friendship with them even after leaving the circle. Seriously one of those guys is my best friend. I ride the bus home with him so we can hang out then. The other one, I hardly see him anymore. This is really hard overall. Any advice?

    Hey dude, I'm in a similar boat right. I'm only guessing your reason for needing the new group right now. I recently made a mistake which caused a lot of trouble for my old friends and I, and I am sure I will need new friends. I've had to make that transition before, it's tough, it really is but it's something that will get easier with time. Just spend time with your one close friend, get to know him better because, right now, he will help you get through this. Also, if there is anyone who has been nice to you and that you see on a daily basis, talk to them more, get to know them! Hey, I kinda want to talk to you, email me at, [email protected]. You gotta lose some to gain some. You'll probably have to forget about your two really good friends and hang out with the other guy in the new friend..circle thingy lol. Just hang out with him and his friends a lot more. Do guy stuff or something-idk because I'm a girl. I'm probably not helping at all sorry ):

i would just stop hanging out with them and talking to them. IF they say hey or whats up just reply with nothing much or hey but dont seem to interested in talking to them. find some new frends by talking to them during class when you can or at lunch. i would talk to more girls than guys then your old friends would be like dam he is a ladys man and would sort of miss you and want to hang out with you and they wont be mean to you anymore because they saw that you can make frends and live your life with out them. basically what i am trying to say is show them you dont need them to live your life or need there insults, and that you can do the same with out with out them. YOU WERE BORN ALONE AND YOU WILL DIE ALONE. YOU WERE BORN A ORIGINAL DONT DIE A COPY!! ITS A DOG EAT DOG WORLD. DO NOT RELY ON ANYONE FOR ANYTHING OR ANYONE. TRUST NO ONE, REGRET NOTHING, DONT LOOK BACK AND DO YOUR OWN THING BY YOURSELF IF YOU CANT MAKE NEW FRIENDS. SHOW THEM YOU DONT NEED THEM TO BE A SUCCESSFUL PERSON IN LIFE. NO ONE BUT YOURSELF WILL GET YOU TO COLLAGE AND A GOOD LIFE. RESPECT THOSE WHO RESPECT YOU AND **** THE REST. IF YOU CAN STICK WITH ALL FAMILY AND NO FRIENDS THATS BETTER. **** FRIENDS!! FAMILY FIRST!!. so what that really means is you dont need friends to be happy its better to stand out than to fit in and be like everybody else. trust me i went throught this during high school and all i did is hang out with friends that respect for who i am and what i do, all i did in high school is make money, talk to girls, hang out with respectfull friends and i dont regret a thing from what i did in high school. find a nice non slut girl friend and spend most of your time with her instead of stupid non respectfull friends who just make fun of you. if they ask why you dont hang out with them anymore say because all they do is talk **** to you and you dont need those kinds of friends.
