What do Universities usually teach in an Architecture course ?

I am very interested in architecture and plan to go to university to study it. So, I just want to get somewhat of a headstart.

It depends on the course, it is usually broken into theory, structures, and studio courses, where theory is based on the perceptive and and experiential qualities of architecture and how to manipulate spaces and the effect that it can have on people. Structures focuses on how you actually make a building come together and materials and systems that are used. And studio is focused heavily on design and combining structure and theory into practice to create architecture.
