It's true that no one will randomly give you a free xbox live code, but there are ways to obtain free xbox live codes (that are worth much more than 2 days)- you just need to do find them. Many sites offer free xbox live codes in exchange for the completion of a few surveys/offers. If you find that too difficult, then I don't believe you can get free xbox live codes. However, most of these surveys and offers are fairly easy to complete- only take a couple of minutes. I have been using this site http://fornovices.com/xboxlive and have been able to get all of my xbox live codes for free through the method I described above. Currently, that site is running a free raffle for a xbox live code and is offering bonus points (redeem for xbox live codes) so it might be your best choice.
