How can i view a private facebook profile?

Hi, i have a friend and i know his name and i have found a facebook account i THINK is him, i don't want to add him just yet as i'm not 100% that it is him. So, is there a way i can view his profile so it is not private, so i can see his posts, updates, photos and status and so on? Just to make sure i've found the right bloke. Thanks in advance.

unless you hack his account, you can't. You have 2 options : 1) ask him if that is his facebook. or 2) just add him and view his profile to see if it is him, if not then just delete him. :)
