Front of lower legs hurt while running?

so i've recently begun running about a week or so ago, running about 2.75 miles in 30 minutes, almost every day. Since beginning last wednesday, i've ran 8 times for a full 30 minutes every time. Today was the first time that i experienced any pain while running. the actual running itself has become much, much easier (hardly even break a sweat after more than a mile), but today the front of the lower parts of my legs hurt a little bit while running (and they stopped hurting the second i stopped running, but i still went for 30 minutes today). what's going on? is it safe to keep running? stats: 18 years old, female, 5'4, 122 lb i've been walking a couple miles every day since i started school at ucla in the fall

Agh- SHINSPLINTS! So annoying. It is basically pain in your shins from impact to the legs. Not necessarily dangerous or a serious injury. Just a soreness. But they can take a while to feel normal again, so you may need to ice your shins. Over time they can get really annoying while running if you do not ice them! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shin_splints

yes when you do exersise you muscles hurt because you are getting stronger this happens to me sometimes last time I felt it was when I was doing some sports a few weeks ago.
