How does one get a 4.0 GPA?

A bright student can easily still get a low gpa just like a slower student can get a really high one?

  • Even the brightest student can get lazy or bored and obtain a low GPA just as a slower student can study their *** off and get, say something in between 3-4 GPA. Correct? True, it is the only physical proof of your abilities but it seems to be more time based responsibility VS actual intellect. You truly don't have to be much of a genius to even get a BA it seems yet people take such respect to people that do. I just wanted to see your opinion: how much do you think GPA's actual represent one's intelligence?

Grades are not a clear indication of intelligence (or lack of intelligence) at all. Getting good grades doesn't make you smart, nor does getting poor grades make you stupid. There are plenty of people with excellent grades who still manage to be some of the dumbest people I've ever met.

true...a lot of the time the students getting 3.8s and 4.0s aren't any smarter than people getting 3.2....they just care too much.

FINALLY, thank you. All you need for a high GPA is a lot of studying time and an IQ of about 70
