How does he make this with perler beads?

First of all: how does he get that thing on his wrist? I know perler beads don't stretch that much! Second, how does he fuse them and make them bend in the first place to make the bracelet? Any tutorial I look at is "add string to make a bracelet", this guy actually FUSED and melted them into one. Any help would be awesome! thanks! :3 P.S. I messaged him and haven't heard back for over a week, and my anniversary is coming soon :(

  The bracelet appears to be open on one side, between beads. It should flex enough to slip over your wrist. The beads were probably fused flat as usual, then fastened around or over a shaped object (pipe? dowel?), then warmed gently in a low temp oven, and it remained the desired shape as it cooled.
