I have a system in my car. What kind of speakers are better?

• I want a new car stereo system but I'm new at this. I want to make sure its a good system with good base, without blowing up any of the speakers. I have a 2001 Nissan Altima. My speakers are so bad right now. Anything will be better than what I have. I was thinking of changing the stereo to either JVC KD-HDR44 or JVC KD-X50BT. These are both 4 channel. What does 2 channel, 4 channel, 6 channel mean? I went with 4 because I wanted a sub later on. I don't know if that's that right logic but that's how I determined 4. I don't need component speakers because I don't want to spend too much. I was looking for 3 way speakers, but I have no idea whats good. How many ohms should I get? What frequency response? how much RMS power? Since they are going to be full range speakers, that means they will be connected to the radio right? I was thinking about kappa 63.9i, but those are kind of expensive. Any suggestions on what type of speakers to get?

  There's a lot of steps to this and a lot of decisions to make. Channels mean the different set of speakers you can hook up. However, you can hook up the speakers to the radio, but they can still blow. I would recommend buying a small amp (400 watts) to power the side speakers, but it's a pain in the butt to wire them to the amp. However, you have control of reducing distortion and removing bass so you don't blow it. Also, you can not hook up a subwoofer to the head unit. (radio) it doesn't have enough power. You'll need a powerful amplifier for that. Now, I would be any rms rating you want, they are usually 100 rms, and usually 8 ohms. I wouldn't really worry about that... I recommend Kenwood speakers, Stay away from garbage Chinese like audiobahn, BOSS, legacy, etc. usually all Walmart brands, and don't buy them overpriced at bestbuy.
