Is it a good idea to buy refurbished earphones?

• i went to the monstercable outlet store and found some refurbished ibeats for about $60, they are regularly $110. i don't know if its a good deal to buy them refurnished even tough they are 50 dollars cheaper just because they are refurnished, can anyone tell me if its a good idea to buy them and if so what would the condition be when i get the earphones.
