Should I get a deck, mini cruiser, or longboard?

• Should I get a deck, mini cruiser, or longboard? I'm a 13 y/o girl and I want to skate. I'm looking for a board to mostly go from point a-b, although I might want to learn a few tricks, but not really. I'm like the deck look better, but people say mini cruisers and longboards are easier to learn and better for... well... cruising. Then which is easier/better: mini cruiser or longboard? Or should I just get a skateboard deck? Please help, I want to learn over the summer.

  I think since you are just learning to skate, and you want a board for cruising, you should get a longboard. There are many different shapes and sizes for longboards, and you should be able to find one that fits your style and preferences. Mini cruisers are alright, but they are not the most comfortable thing to ride because they are so small. And regular skateboards are mostly just for tricks.
